The graph of serious crimes is continuously increasing in Mohali. The biggest matter of concern is that now shootings and gang wars have also started happening. Big gangsters and henchmen working in their gang are being caught from Mohali. Murder is happening every 8 days in Mohali district. In the last 50 days (i.e. from September 1 to October 17), there have been 6 murders in the district while the police have registered three cases of robbery and 14 cases of attempt to murder.
This data is shocking. The occurrence of such serious crimes in one and a half months indicates a crisis in the law and order situation in the city. Like the previous government, criminal incidents have not reduced under the AAP government too. Apart from this, many criminals have been caught with weapons from Mohali border area. Arms smuggling has increased from Madhya Pradesh. These weapons are being used in gang war. However, the arms smugglers caught by the police admitted during interrogation that the arms are smuggled from Madhya Pradesh. The police have not been able to break the Yak network yet. It is believed that the police is catching the criminals and sending them to jail, but new youth are joining the crime world due to which the crimes are also increasing.

Unemployment and drug addiction are considered to be the major reasons for this. Young people are committing big crimes.
