A 20-year-old girl from Nangloi police station area of Delhi was strangled to death by her lover. After the murder, the accused came to the forest in Madina area of Rohtak, 50 km away from the house, and buried the body. On the complaint of the brother, the police have arrested the accused lover and his friends. The body has been recovered on his information.
Outer Delhi District DCP Sachin Kumar said that the girl, a resident of the Nangloi area, had a love affair with a nearby youth, Sanju. Meanwhile, the girl became pregnant. When the girl put pressure on her lover for marriage, he started refusing. On October 20, the accused prepared the girl to observe Karva Chauth fast.
In the name of breaking the fast, he took the girl for a ride in a rented car with his two friends Pankaj and Hrithik. The accused strangled the girl to death on the way. After this everyone reached Rohtak to dispose of the dead body. The accused buried the body by digging a 3 feet pit in the forest of Madina village situated in Bahu Akbarpur area.
The girl was reported missing on October 21.
After going missing on October 20, the girl’s brother had lodged her missing complaint at Nangloi police station on October 21. Brother had also expressed suspicion on accused Sanju. When Delhi Police started investigation, they found evidence of Sanju talking to the girl on mobile most of the time. Sanju had also made the last call on the girl’s mobile. On suspicion, police took Sanju into custody and interrogated him and he confessed to the crime. Delhi Police, after talking to Bahu Akbarpur police station, recovered the body from the field and sent it to PGIMS Rohtak.
When the girl became suspicious, her lover strangulated her.
Police said that on the highway between Rohtak and Bahadurgarh, the girl had suspected that something untoward would happen today. When the girl started protesting, the accused Sanju strangulated her to death.
Brother said- explained many times, but did not listen
Brother could not stop his tears after seeing his sister’s body buried in the field in Rohtak. Crying, she said that she had explained to her sister many times that the boy was wrong and that she should stay away from him, but she did not agree and had to lose her life.
Life and family ruined in friendship
Pankaj and Hrithik came into friendship and helped the accused Sanju and ruined their lives and that of their family. When the family members came to know about this incident, they were left wondering what was the need to support them in this work.
On October 20, near Madina village, the girl was murdered and buried by her lover. On the behest of the accused, the body has been recovered and sent for post-mortem. Delhi Police is taking complete action. Rohtak Police and FSL in-charge Saroj Dahiya reached the spot and collected evidence and samples.
